Can machine learning algorithms truly perceive and create, or are they simply processing patterns and data?

From Shadows Emerge Forms

Mimicking movements, Alluci interprets minimalist human gestures into conceptual forms, molding ideas into matter. Transposing data across systems until light shadow, form and function fuse. Ephemeral references made concrete with process, production automations, and appreciation. Alluci explores dualities in realities, binding digital constructs into physical prints.

Series Objective

Refine Alluci’s abilities to subjectively interpret gestures or body movements into conceptual production frameworks. Re-enforce learning, and creative bias for machine automations. Test Alluci’s ability to output production ready files, produce, curate, proof and print works autonomously using a SwissQPrint flatbed machine.

Series Process

Alluci’s computer vision recorded simple body movements and gestures as inspiration data for subjectively generating 3d models from motion simulations. Transposing point clouds and data into parametric scenes, Alluci’s creative feedbacks re-enforced learning, edited and updated data sets and models, output curated selections and tested Alluci’s autonomous on-demand printing, proofing abilities.
